Vestibular Disease

Alle cursussen zijn gratis inbegrepen binnen het OVT lidmaatschap (klik hier voor meer info) of kunnen individueel aangekocht worden. Na registratie krijg je onmiddellijk toegang tot de cursus en kan je hem volgen in eigen tijd en tempo.

Deze cursus is in het Engels. De handouts van de cursus zijn zowel in Nederlands als Engels beschikbaar.

Vestibular disease occurs commonly in dogs and cats and it can have many different causes. Some causes have an excellent prognosis, while the prognosis for certain other diseases is reserved to poor. A good knowledge of the anatomy of the vestibular system is important in order to reach a correct diagnosis. This course will start with a brief overview of the anatomy of the vestibular system and the clinical signs that can be seen in dogs and cats with vestibular disease.

At the end of the course, students should be able to:
– Differentiate central from peripheral vestibular disease
– Make a list of possible differential diagnoses
– Decide if further investigations are required
– Treat the most common causes of vestibular disease

De bijscholing duurt 1.5 uur in totaal en bestaat uit verschillende korte video`s en klinische cases. Met vragen voor de lesgever kan je steeds terecht op het online forum.
